Great nature capture. Well timed and composed to catch the action. Like the sense of movement of the water to add to the dynamics. Congrat

It seems to hear the roar of the waterfall, while the hungry bear has just captured his dainty prey: a red salmon who tried to run the river. An extraordinary shot in a very crucial event of wild life. Well done, indeed.

One of my biggest dream photo shoots is to do and try to do what you just captured right here. What a dream come true this must be to capture. One of my favorite shots on Viewbug.

If the bear was not in the centre it would have much more impact. You have an amazingly sharp image, with movement shown in the water droplets, which gives the image life.

Location
Brooks Falls in Alaska. Had to take a floatplane to get there!Time
It was around 9 or 10 am, the sky was cloudy so I wasn't too concerned with reflections or harsh lighting. Getting fur detail was a challenge.Lighting
Nothing fancy, just a giant softbox over the sun - clouds.Equipment
Nikon D300, 80-400 zoom lens and a carbon fiber tripod.Inspiration
There were bears EVERYWHERE!Editing
Yes. Pulled out the details in the fur and touch or saturation. In my camera bag
Just camera, lenses (50mm, 70-200, 24-70, 16-35), polarizer and ND filtersFeedback
Go to Alaska. Now. You won't regret it.
