Absolutely adorable, it touches your heart. I really think that 'Touching' should be an award you can give.

In my living room in front of our tiny Christmas tree.Time
Way past my bedtime but for some reason my newborn doesn't use the same clock as the rest of the civilized world.Lighting
Flash with diffuser dome off-camera right and slightly higher on a chair with me lying on the floor.Equipment
Nikon D300. 35mm F1.8 lens. Shot at F2.0 1/60sec ISO 400Inspiration
my son wouldn't sleep, so at sometime around 3am I took some extra Christmas lights and hung them from the curtain rail behind the tree. Plopped the little monster by the presents which he was delighted with, stuck a hat on him and fired away. I have about 12 shots of him eating the parcel he's holding, another 8 of him crying because he didn't want to stop eating the present and just this one of him smiling delightedly at the camera.Editing
Warmed it up a touch and whitened his eyes slightly. In my camera bag
You mean other than diapers? Oh the usual stuff. I have a D600 now and I love my nifty 50. I always carry a polarizer but I don't always remember to use it. I have 16-35mm and I love the drama when i get to shoot landscapes at 16mm. I also love fixing the distortion that creates.Feedback
Buy a dog. You can train them to sit still and not eat the presents. I suppose the best advice would be patience and pre-visualizing the shot you want to create. Without the lights I added in the background, this shot would be the same. Oh and having access to a cute kid really helps.
