Location
This photo was taken at home on the dining room table! Not as many believe in the DJ box at a massive international Superclub!Time
This is my most popular image in my veiwbug profile. It was taken just after noon on a day i had been hoping to go out photographing landscapes however the rain had other ideas as often is the case in the UK.Lighting
The bokeh lighting was created using two small sets of Christmas lights.Equipment
Nikon D5100 and a nikon 1.8 50mm prime lens on a cheap tripod - nothing special very entry level dslr kit.Inspiration
A podcast i had listened to during the week prior had been taking about Bokeh a the correct pronunciation of the word. However had it not been for the poor weather i may have not set my kit up inside.Editing
Again nothing special just a slight edit in Lightroom to make the colours pop a little more. I would like to have more time to learn post processing but dont at the moment. In my camera bag
My Nikon D5100 along with a tamron 18-200 lens, nikon 50mm 1.8 prime lens and the lens i enjoy to use the most a Samyang 8mm Fisheye ( the picture i like the most was taken with this and is a muntjac deer - check it out in my profile). I always carry a couple of spare batteries and sd cards however my favorite bit of kit is a folding seat pad which i use to kneel on!Feedback
Just try it and take your time. A lot of photography is about capturing a moment but this isnt so take your time, try different settings, try different angles and distances. Dont assume you have got the shot you want, review your work before packing everything away. Most importantly - Enjoy yourself.
