For a Purple "Project" someone has on VB, I gave my word to upload the photo of these cupcakes that I made. Every cupcake is made in a different shade of purple..
I made them for a Relay for Life meeting refreshment when we meet to discuss details of the year round raising of money to go for cancer research, transportation assistance for local residents, wigs, etc. Many teams make up one very large group of people. We each find different ways to raise money with HOPE that one day cancer will be defeated and the cure will be found. We have one annual day that we all come together after all funds are raised and finish at a big "Relay for Life" event where we celebrate the "Survivors" and give recognition of past loved ones. We walk the track after the survivors open the ceremony with the first lap. It is an 18 hour event that symbolizes the life of someone with cancer. As cancer does not sleep, at least one person from every team is requested to remain walking on the track the full 18 - 24 hours..I am attaching the Main American Cancer Society website if you would like to see more on Relay for Life. I would be very happy to assist anyone also. My family including children since age 4 are yearly participants. We gather donations and all get turned in throughout the year.. We also do an annual "Crowning for Cures" fundraiser created by my grandchidren and I. There is NO geographic or any other type of requirements. Anyone interested? Please let me know. It is not a competitive type pageant. It is open for males, females, young, older young, all states in USA, and other countries as well. Again, if interested, contact me. If you want to create a team of your own, please go through this website or I will be happy to assist you to get going...My personal family has had much experience unfortunately with cancer..my dad is deceased from cancer. My brother still a survivor for 11+ years. I was blessed to be cured fully from melanoma..one spot. I still go regularly for check ups. MY aunt has another kind. My uncle another... friends and their families and anyone in VB. Keep praying and don't get weary.. keep up the good fight..

This is beautiful!! Its amazing to know that there are people in the world who do fundraising events like this to raise money to help fund research to find cures for the horrible disease. Thank you for entering this into my purple project and especially thank you for explaining the Relay for life to everyone and I hope this helps raise awareness!! :)
