An impressive photograph, a very narrow depth of field used well. Congratulations on your feature

There really wan't much to it! I lied on the grass and set the shutter speed and aperture to what I wrote under the image^ (on manual setting) and focused on only a small part of grass. The weather was really what contributed to how this looks, if it wasn't for the cold, frosty morning, there would be no dew on the grass or mist in the distance. Then a quick gradient and photo filter on Photoshop and ta da! :) Thanks for you comment!

The shallow DOF is very interesting but makes for a great photo with the foreground bokeh highlighting the light on the dew. Well done and greetings from the Naki

Morning, around 7am.Lighting
All natural lighting. The early morning sun gave the dew on the grass it's sparkles and created a nice warm feel to the rest of the photo.Equipment
Canon 550D, Canon 18-55mm lens. Settings: f/7.1 ISO: 100 Exposure: 1/320. No tripod. No flash.Inspiration
It was an icy, winter morning and there was dew and ice everywhere so I just got snapping and thought this made a really cool angle of the dew!Editing
Crop, vignette and slight saturation boost. In my camera bag
I have since upgraded my gear. I now carry a Canon 7D, Sigma wide angle lens 8-16mm, Canon lens 50mm, Canon lens 15-85mm, Canon lens 55-250mm. As well as spare batteries and cards!Feedback
It was the dew on the grass that really made this photo quite magical, as well as the early morning winter sun, through clear skies. Had to be creative with the angle as well. Lied on the wet grass in my school uniform to get this!
