Haha, this isn't me, I used my younger sister as my model :D Then ruined her make up and made her cry. Evil me. Thank you so much for your comment and peer recognition :)

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the bathroom of my childhood home. The posters in the background are on the corner of the walls behind the bathtub!

Time

This was taken in the late afternoon.

Lighting

I actually chose the bathroom because it had good soft natural lighting in the afternoon.

Equipment

This was taken on my first DSLR, a Canon 550D, with the 24-70mm kit lens.

Inspiration

This was part of a brief for a photography school assignment to show the theme of 'peer pressure'. I decided to use overrepresentation of women as sexual beings in the media as my idea for the series.

Editing

I darkened my sister's mascara tears to make them more prominent.

In my camera bag

Usually 2 kit lenses and sometimes a nice 50mm prime.

Feedback

I wanted to really think about filling the whole frame of this image and using the lines on the corner walls to draw in the eye. So choosing which walls to shoot against was a major factor for this image.
