Location
This photo was taken on day hike at Opal Creek Trail. It's now a classic bc all of this was destroyed last year in one of Oregons huge fires. Opal creek was an old mining camp with cabins, old vehicles and other old weathered equipment remains from its mining days.Time
Middle of the day, probably around 2pm.Lighting
All natural lighting, with shade from the trees.Equipment
This was actually taken with a Samsung cell phone.Inspiration
I love old rusted memories. The shot just presented itself and I was delighted with how it turned out.Editing
Very little post processing. I may have trimmed it a but and bumped the lighting up to bring out more detail however other than that it was pretty great as it was.In my camera bag
I am just a hobbyist, I just like to captured images for self. My equipment is just the basic Canon T3i and standard lenses. To be quite honest, I use my phone a lot because it's lighter and it has a pro-mode and the photos turn out wonderful.Feedback
Always look for beauty in unexpected places. Capture things that make your heart sing. You can't go wrong.
