Abstract Object and Nature Photography. Macro composition of a blue boat propeller out of the water taken in dry dock at the boatyard on Holyhead Marina, isle of Anglesey, UK. This is a geometric image symbolises the symmetry and symbiotic relationship between manmade objects and nature in the real world. Both object and the limpets that cling to it also create an image of strength and resilience in difficult enviroments , the one creating the power to run a boat despite its wear and the impediment created by the sealife that lives upon it. The other its determination to find a home and survive in a hostile situation despite the rough nature of life attached to a fast moving object. As a representation of the realities of maritime life this sleepingly still propeller quietly sings out a story with truth. Taken using macro techniques with a canon point and shoot camera using shallow depth and a low POV and a tilted lens angle to produce depth within the blurred background and gain as much textural detail in shaded natural light conditions.
