Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo of my little guy Heath , on my property in the Fall . There are quite a mix of different types of grasses and when it’s fall , some of them are soft to the touch.

Time

This was taken just before the sun was going down .

Lighting

It was the “golden hour “ and I wanted to place him with the light to one side of him . When the light hit the grass it turned them a beautiful golden colour

Equipment

I used my Sony A850 that I had at the time and my

Inspiration

I wanted to get a photo of my little guy wearing this outfit that my sister got for him before it became too small . And thought the perfect place to do it was in the soft grass by the blueberry field that we frequent during the summer .

Editing

I post processed this in photoshop and wanted to give it an antique photo vibe to it .

In my camera bag

I always have my favourite prime lenses multiple charges ready to go batteries , and candy for bribes ;)

Feedback

Just keep practicing , don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone when trying new locations and lighting .
