I was on vacation in Portugal, this was shot on Ponta da Piedade, Lagos, a fabulous cliff walk on the coast of Lagos.Time
Shot at 11am, early April 2018, shot from the cliffs of Ponta da Piedade, my husband holding my ankles (it was a long way down) we were out for a morning stroll...I didn't expect to get any good shots as the sun was very bright, so I was thrilled with this shot.Lighting
As this was shot on an extremely sunny morning in Portugal, I used a polarizing filter. Shot at f5.6, 1/250, iso 100, white balance set at auto.Equipment
Nikon D7100, 18-105mm lens on a tripod, (more so to secure my camera from falling of the cliffs) I actually didn't think that this lens would capture the shot as clearly as it this.Inspiration
Just looking down on the water, this was a long way down and seeing the bright colours of the boats in the aqua green/blue water...I loved the colours.Editing
Very little I just brought the highlights and whites up in Lightroom and enhance the colours a little. In my camera bag
Nikon D7100, Nikon lenses 18-105mm, 40mm macro, 50mm, I have 70-300mm lens which I really use, it never makes to the bag. I usually a have remote trigger. Oh and I always have a shower cap in my camera bag to protect my camera in case it rains and 20 euro ...just in case!Feedback
Looking down was scary and very glad to have my husband with me to grip my ankles. (I'm actually quite afraid of heights! I nearly always have my camera with me, even though I didn't expect to get any good shots that day as the sun was just to bright!! I didn't have my zoom lens with me, so I really didn't expect to get shot as sharp as this, just goes to show take the shot anyway.
