Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in our garden in Windsor.

Time

It was a beautiful summer's day and we had the BBQ going. The photo sort of came organically as we were relaxing in the garden after the meal.

Lighting

I thought it was appropriate to shoot in B&W because it felt more intimate. The love these two have for each other is as clear as black and white and I'm really happy I was able to capture such a previous moment.

Equipment

This was shot on a Canon EOS 600D

Inspiration

The chemistry between the two was really very sweet. It was a very impromptu shot. It wasn't planned or anything and I think that's what makes it work because it feels more intimate.

Editing

I don't normally do much post-processing. I like the simplicity of a moment caught.

In my camera bag

I always leave the house with my Fujifilm X-T2. It's so versatile and easy to use and takes beautiful shots.

Feedback

Always have your camera with you. It's better to be prepared than to have missed a shot because you didn't have your camera. I would advise taking pictures of your friends. I know that for me they've been such a source inspiration. And to just take pictures. Practice makes perfect.
