Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home studio in Trnava, Slovakia.

Time

I used strobes, and we shooted at evening

Lighting

I used a beauty dish and reflector

Equipment

I used my Canon 6d camera and my favorite 85mm 1.8 Canon lens

Inspiration

I am keen of Amy Brown fairy watercolor pictures, I get inspiration from one circus fairy watercolor image. I've got clothes and assesories like was on picture. Ears are real, made from silicone. But anyway, always when I shoot, there is any common with the image I have been inspired of. The glasses was broken by my little son, when he played with those, and glasses missed on glass. And my cat always attract attantion of my models, so everyone wants to be photographed with cat. So many unpredictable things should happen to let me create this image. And it is more like steampunk, then fairy tale.

Editing

I use friequency separation, and played with shadows and gradient maps, to get such dramatic look.

In my camera bag

Usually I have my Canon 6d, and 85mm lens, I also have UV filter and two aditional lenses 50 and 35 mm.
