Location
The photo was taken in Michigan, during the summer. Snow is my sisters cat and I just love her eyes. She is a pure white cat and she is very loving and likes to be held.Time
I took the photo during the day, when the sun was only partially out of the clouds.Lighting
The sunlight was only shining through clouds, but it seemed bright enough to make her pupils dialate quite small. This bit of light also made her eyes shine quite well and show of the amazing color difference.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon EOS Rebel T6. No extra lighting or equipment was used.Inspiration
Since I was a little girl I have always loved white cats, but never had the opportunity to actually own one (or have one own me!). My sister was given Snow when she was going to be send to the animal shelter. I fell in love with her and her amazing different colored eyes. I also loved her sweet nature.Editing
I used no processing with the image. In my camera bag
I always carry a camera when I leave the house. I say "a", but usually I take my Canon EOS Rebel T6 and also a Samsung digital that I can just tuck into a pocket or my camera bag. My Canon has 2 different lenses, so I an switch up if I need long distance photos.Feedback
I find with animals that it is easier to capture their eyes and their personality if you find something that attracts them and draws their attention. Sometimes drawing attention away from myself and my camera works really well. Sometimes a toy or treat to get them to see and look towards me works well too. In the case of this photo Snow was in the outdoors and was focused on a tree where there were birds chirping and hopping among the tree branches.
