Looking for something to do on a sunny afternoon in my back garden.i took this photo in our rear garden on a Sunday afternoon.Time
It was mid afternoon, in March with a fairly low sun. I had to lay on a tarp as the grass was wet!Lighting
To add punch to the image, the sun was to my rear. My dog Jasper contrast well against the tree/shrub background, which helps with tracking. My wife was throwing the ball at me which Jasper chased.Equipment
I used a Nikon D5 with Nikkor 70-200 tele lense, no other lighting needed.Inspiration
The purpose of the shoot was to checki out the different tracking options in the camera.Editing
No special post processing with PS, surprisingly nothing much required on this occasion other than a basic crop.In my camera bag
Nikon D810, 21mm prime, 50mm prime, 70-200 tele, filters, tripod, cleaning kit, speedlite.Feedback
I find 3D only works well if high contrast exist between subject and background, failing which I would revert to single spot tracking. My wife threw the ball at me, which Jasper chased. Next time I'll try the same but use a shorter prime lens to I exaggerate the dogs front features.
