Location
The photo was taken in my garden in Kettering, just after a rain shower.Time
If i remember correctly it was late morning.Lighting
It was a beautiful sunny day but we'd also had a couple of short sharp showers, the sun came back out and I managed to get some shots before raindrops disappeared.Equipment
Nikon D3100 Handheld No flash Macro settingInspiration
I love flowers and I wanted to capture this in its own environment outside in elementsEditing
Apart from cropping I adjusted the contrast slightly otherwise it's as it was taken. In my camera bag
Apart from my camera, I carry a spare battery, macro converter, flash, remote shutter trigger, but depends what I'm shooting.Feedback
Always try and capture the flower in its own environment and if possible use the natural light, if you haven't got a steady hand use a tripod.
