Space Shuttle 'Endeavour' receives a 747 piggyback on it's final flight from Cape Canaveral to LAX. Living just down the road from JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratories) in Altadena, CA, where so much work was done on the Space Shuttle projects, this made the ideal spot to photograph this historical moment. This was the point where the giant 747 carrying 'Endeavour' made it's lowest fly-by as a tribute to all the scientists who worked on her and others at JPL. I was approached by one of the Engineers for Endeavour while taking my photos, who requested copies of my prints, and at a later date, I spoke with the engineers wife, who came by our home to bring some very 'special' memorabilia for my 2 sons as a thank you to me for this photograph, which she told me, now hangs proudly in JPL.....
