Thank all who voted for my Wild Dance in the Color Passion Photo Challenge. Very much appreciate your time and effort! This was a fun shot for me--still want to see it enlarged and framed.

Location
This photo was taken in my daylily garden. We planted 100 daylily plants and I loved this one because of the colors.Time
I took this early morning just as the sun began to hit the blooms, waking them up.Lighting
Natural lighting.Equipment
Oddly enough, this was taken with my Lumina phone camera.Inspiration
I loved the water-color look of the flower and it came through in the photo.Editing
All the processing done here was a very heavy crop to the center of the flower. The crop made it look even more like a watercolor painting and very abstract. I though it would make a good framed wall art image. In my camera bag
My phone, obviously. A Canon 7D with Canon 100-400 mm; Canon 60mm macro; Canon 580Ex speedlits and tripod with ball head.Feedback
If I had to do this over, I would use my Canon 7D with macro lens and tripod. Soft early morning light is best; second would be cloudy overcast. This brings out the colors so much better than a harsh light. If using a flash, bounce it, or diffuse it. Macro is difficult in windy conditions, so best work on a still day, or take items to block the wind. If shooting in a natural setting, make sure not to damage any surrounding plants and be mindful to obtain permission. All I had to do here was walk out into my front yard. Sometimes, you just get lucky!
