Location
It was a calm and misty October morning. I was getting ready to drive to my Art studio - when I went up to the gate to open it I gasped with awe at the sight of this elaborate work. I run back to get my camera and took a few shots. I wanted to spend more time photographing nature that particular morning, as everything looked magical but I was in a rush. After taking this shot though, I felt quite accomplished all day and very grateful to the little creature who created these multiple webs.Time
It was about 10am.Lighting
The lighting conditions were very good, the sun hiding behind the clouds gave nice diffused light. I was only wishing I had more time to photograph on that particularly mysterious day :)Equipment
I used Nikon D800E with 85mm 1.4 lens, which is my all time favourite lens.Inspiration
There is so much magic all around and I am always on a look out for something out of this world. Though I consider myself to be a portrait photographer, Nature photography is my second favourite and I feel I can always rely on the Flora and the Fauna to sent something I want to capture my way.Editing
I adjusted the colour tonality of the background just a bit - colour balance is something I always like to play with to produce the desired mood.In my camera bag
I prefer to travel as light as possible. I always have Nikon D800E with me and the 85mm 1.4 Nikkor lens mounted. I sometimes pack my 35mm 1.4 lens as well. Recently I started taking along a couple of round Lastolite reflectors. My camera and the lenses are quite good in low light. I try to take advantage of the available light as much as possible and rarely use flash, though every once in a while I will have 2 speed lights in my bag - just in case. A little, handsome Nikon Coolpix A with a very sharp 18.5mm 2.8 lens makes the latest addition to my kit. It doesn't look like much but is a lovely, versatile camera and weights nothing so it is very handy to travel with.Feedback
The best advice I could give to others is to appreciate Life and its incredible beauty. Being respectful of even the tiniest of creatures, as well as being grateful for what we have here on Earth is essential. Having our eyes wide open and the cameras ready comes very handy too!
