Appreciating and being grateful to the past, present, & future generations of all Native Nations & Indigenous Peoples, whole ancestral lands we explore, visit and play. Please always impose a LEAVE NO TRACE ethic on your exploration, adventures, & expeditions. Follow local regulations. Love the only planet we have. Please do not trash her. Now, the latest unfortunate trend has been for people dumping the RV waste tanks any place they wish. That's just wrong!

Location
The photo was taken at Park Rapids in Minnesota, USA.Time
This is one of the images where the cop showed up because he spotted someone with the flashlight in the dark place of Park Rapids. It was exactly 11:59 PM when the darkest time of the night is occurring and when the rest of the people were sleeping.Lighting
I wanted the milky way to really pop up in the eyes of the viewers so I waited for long to take photos of this vintage cars with the milky way at the background. It was side of the road and when the police spotted me splashing my flashlight to move my camera he turned his wheels toward the area where I was exactly taking my photos, so I got some lights from the police's car and made the vintage car more interesting with the little details seen. Sometimes something happened which I did not really expect. I was there for quite so long so i got some interesting star trails also and of course to make use of those images I included those in this single shot of the vintage cars and the milky way.Equipment
It was shot with my camera Canon EOS-1DX, EF 16-35mm f/2.8 II USM, Canon trigger release and of course Manfrotto Tripod.Inspiration
With the male dominated network, I am inspired to capture photos of night sky. "If male can do it, then I can do it!" Nothing that woman photographer cannot do. Yes it is true that very difficult the deal nature at night. You have wild animals, cold nights, harmful insects like ticks and mosquitos, darkness, and of course law enforcement officers (lol) to deal with. However, "No pain, no gain!" The less travelled road is really challenging and the result is really memorable. I have been admitted to the hospitals twice for tick bite but these situation can never stop me practice my passion.Editing
First I processed my Milky Way with the vintage cars in Photoshop CC, then I processed my star trails in separate but I combined the two photos again in Photoshop CC.In my camera bag
Manfrotto Tripod, Canon EOS 1DX, Canon EOS 5D S, in each canon lenses like EF 16-35mm f/2.8 II USM, Canon Trigger release, my flashlight.Feedback
My advice for other who would like to capture milky way or any astrophotography is to research the ff: > The weather forecast, like if there is rain or heavy clouds because these do not really help in capturing stars or milky way. > The location, sometimes capturing stars or milky in near water really affect your photos, the fogs from the water might blocked the stars. What to prepare: > Wear long sleeves so mosquitos cannot bite you and of course long pants. bugs spray is really helping to let them go away. > Plan your trip. Remember those who fail to plan, plan to fail.
