The photo was taken in the North of Norway in Vesterålen. I was driving past this scenery and just had to stop to try to capture that special light.Time
It was early in July while it's still midnight sun up there. This was about 1:30 am, and since it's daylight saving time, it was about 30 minutes after the sun had been at it's lowest over the horizon.Lighting
It was the special light that made me stop the car and try to capture the scene. It was a quite cold night for July, and for that reason the mist was laying above the lake on the right side of the picture. This together with the low sun created a very special light.Equipment
I shot it with my Nikon D5100 camera, had only one lens with me (18-55 mm), and unfortunately no tripod. So this was shot with the camera in my hand, no flash used.Inspiration
Just the awesome nature that you will find in the north of Norway. When I'm up there I always try to capture that special light that is up thereEditing
I didn't do much post-processing with this picture. Just a minor adjustment of brightness and contrast. That's pretty much all i did.In my camera bag
Normally my Nikon D5100 Camera, a tripod, and a couple of lenses. That's allFeedback
Go anywhere they have midnight sun during the summer. And if the weather is nice, you will always get a chance to capture the special light of the "arctic" summers.
