Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a trip to Svalbard in the month of March.

Time

This was taken in the afternoon, just as the sun was disappearing behind the horizon.

Lighting

Difficult, but beautiful blue arctic light. I just had this pocket camera, but it got quite nice.

Equipment

No tripod, no flash - just a handheld Nikon pocket camera.

Inspiration

I just saw this scene where this person was trying to photograph the setting sun. The scene looked so lonely.

Editing

I did some post-processing to try to get the light better. And a bit sharpening, that's all.

In my camera bag

I usually have a Nikon 5100 with three different lenses, and a tripod.

Feedback

Svalbard is absolutely worth a visit in the month of March. The sun is coming back after the dark winter, and the arctic light is just awesome. And the nature..... wow!!
