Behind The Lens
Location
Me and my wife were at an antique car show in Brandon Manitoba.Time
It was a sunny day with a few clouds in the sky and the cars were super shiny around noon with the sun straight up above.Lighting
It was tricky to not get a reflection back from the sun and no flash was used.Equipment
Shot with a Nikon 7000 and 18-105 lens no tripod.Inspiration
One of my favorite things to photograph is old cars and old buildings.Editing
This shot was in colour and I used corel paintshop pro 5x to change it to black and white which I do to a lot of shots. I find colour shots sometimes contrast to much with the background and it ruins the shot.In my camera bag
I carry to many lens but better prepared than not. I have a Nikon 70-300 which I use a lot then a 18-200, 18-105, a 35 prime, 10-24 wide angle lens, 105 macro, and my big lens 80-500 which I hardly use cause its to heavy. My first camera is the Nikon 7000 and a light backup Nikon 3100.Feedback
My advice to capture a similar shot is take the shot you see at the time you see it cause the sun and clouds change all the time and watch out for reflections and never use the flash.
