Location
This photo was taken while travelling home through the Scottish Borders at a farm stead called Wooden near the town of Kelso Scotland.Time
The sun was starting to set it was early afternoon on a winters day in the UK , we had been driving for four hours rushing home before it got dark .Lighting
First thing i saw was the sky line ,setting sun with low mist , it looked spectacular on its own ,fantastic light defusing the sun light , being able to see the sun as a whole and yet not that much light to effect the shot. So I drove round to find a setting suitable to use against the back drop of the setting sun.Equipment
Canon 600D 18-55mm kit lens .Inspiration
The inspiration came from seeing the setting sun through the low mist . As soon as i saw that the race was on to find a suitable landscape to frame in the setting sun , which was an easy task so many inspirational sights here in the Scottish Borders.Editing
The process was a small crop , then i used a single jpeg file through a simple pseudo hdr process just enough to bring out the suns reflection on the ground and to create texture in the grass giving depth .In my camera bag
Canon 600D ,Canon 700D , Lenses canon 18-55mm kit lens. sigma 17-70mm . samyang 8mm fish-eye .canon zoom 55-250mm .cam-link tripod and manfrotto mono podFeedback
The lesson i have learnt from this ,is to always carry your camera with you, its good to plan your photography day, but as this image shows you never known what you will stumble across on your travels .
