I took this photo near Corralejo on Fuerteventura. There is a national park with this incredible landscapeTime
It was a December in the early afternoon when we set out to catch the time when the sun is not quite so high. Exactly I can't say anymore but I think it was around 3 pm in the afternoon.Lighting
The time was chosen so that the shadows do not fall vertically downwards like at noon. In addition, it was slightly cloudy. Thus we had very soft light. Like from a huge softbox.Equipment
I shot this with a Canon EOS-1D X Mark III and a EF 16-35mm 2.8 L settingsAperture f/3.2?ISO 100?Shutter 1/400?Focal Length 35/1? Nothing else I used at this PictureInspiration
On our way to the hotel we drove through this national park and when I saw this landscape I knew I had to photograph a model here. Planned was actually landscape with nude. But that's come to me then too flat. Fortunately, I had this huge red cloth in the car. Since it was as so often on Fuerteventura also quite windy, it was very easy to get the dynamics in the picture. The first photos I liked very well only somehow was lost by the cloaking of the model's femininity. When I shouted be more woman she grabbed between her legs what gives the image a subtle sexuality because you can see nothing but the hand.Editing
since this natural light was just perfect I only had to increase the contrasts and increased the saturation in the red tones a bitIn my camera bag
when I make such photo trips I usually have a Canon Eos 1 and a Canon Eos 5 with me. Then some lenses from the L series and two Profoto B10 flash heads.Feedback
Especially when traveling, it's worth keeping your eyes open and looking for possible locations as soon as you arrive. If you are unsure about the camera settings, you can take a test shot with the automatic setting. But then I recommend to switch the camera back to manual and adjust the values so that your own ideas about how the picture should look in the end are in the foreground. On such photo trips I always have cloths in different colors in my suitcase.
