This photo was taken from a catamaran in Glacier Bay National Park. It was a national park service ranger narrated tour of the the park and glaciers within it.Time
It was taken around 9am in the morning. The early morning started out with fog, but it cleared up to be an amazingly beautiful day.Lighting
This photo was well lit with the early morning sun. We had a beautiful day, chilly but clear and sunny.Equipment
This was taken with a Sony DSC RX10IV. I usually carry my Canon 6D Mark II, but I purchased the Sony for travel abroad. It tales some amazing photos and I don't have to carry several lenses, that might be stolen. No tripod, flash or anything was needed for this photo.Inspiration
This was the first time that I had ever been to Alaska or Glacier Bay National Park. I wanted to take a picture that would let anyone who looked at it, feel the way we did when we were there and remind us about the amazing trip we had.Editing
I did not have to do any post processing on this photo. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon 6D Mark II, with my 24-105mm lens, my 18-40mm lens and my 100-400mm lens. I now also have a Sony DSC RX10IV.Feedback
If you are in Glacier Bay National Park, do not forget to take the boat tour. It is something that should not be missed. Most of the park can only be seen by boat and the park rangers on the tour are great about painting out wildlife as well as giving information about the area.
