My partner and I went upriver for a boat ride and when we came back down, this moose was at the mouth of the river. He wasn't bothered by us, so I snapped several photos of him.

Location
I am a self-taught photographer. I love taking photos, mainly nature shots. We were so lucky to come upon this moose when we came down the river while out exploring on the lake. This photo was taken on Lac La Ronge in Saskatchewan, Canada.Time
We were out touring around beautiful Lac La Ronge when we decided to go upriver to explore. As we came back down, we travelled very slowly, just enjoying the scenery and the warm sun. We were almost at the mouth of the river when we spotted this moose, foraging for food underwater. It was an amazing experience to watch him duck under the water and pull up mouthfuls of grass and weeds. This photo was taken in the late afternoon, probably around 5 o'clock.Lighting
The lighting in this photo is just the natural sunlight. It was a very nice, sunny day so this photo is just as it was when I snapped it.Equipment
I used my Nikon Coolpix P900 with 83x zoom. I did not use a tripod or anything else.Inspiration
When we came upon the moose, I absolutely had to get some photos of the experience. I like this particular photo because he has a mouthful of weeds and I have never seen that before. I thought it was a pretty cool sight.Editing
NoneIn my camera bag
Just my camera and lots of extra batteries.Feedback
If you have a zoom such as this one, the camera can get a bit heavy. If you don't have a tripod, you need to be very steady when taking the shot. I often find something to lean my elbow on, just to help me hold the camera steady.
