This photo was taken at Bigstone Landing, near La Ronge, SK. It was taken in July of 2015 just when the forest fires were starting to get out of hand. Shortly after this photo was taken, we were evacuated from La Ronge for two weeks and only essential workers were permitted to stay.Time

We had been going to the landing to check the progress of the fires on a daily basis and on this day, you could see the bright orange above the trees on one side and then this eerie looking orange sky on the other. I had to capture the image.Editing
