Location
This photo was taken in Nærøyfjord, Norway. Norway offers fantastic outdoor opportunities including kayaking. If you are lucky you can watch sea life dance around you and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of being alone in the water.Time
This photo was taken during an afternoon kayak trip.Lighting
Being located so far north the golden hours last forever around the summer. You don't have to worry about missing the moment since it last for what seems like forever.Equipment
Nikon D7200 with Tokina 11-16mm lens.Inspiration
My wife and I love the outdoors and are constantly exploring. Norway was a very special destination for us given its multitude of outdoor opportunities. I just wanted to immortalize this great trip.Editing
Photo was shot in raw and extensively processed to bring out colors in the mountains and the fjord. Sunset was extensively edited to bring out my vision. In my camera bag
In my "land" set up I have a D7200 with Tokina 11-16mm, Nikon 18-300mm, and Sigma 150-600mm. I also use a MeFoto tripod when needed and remote shutter.Feedback
Shoot often. Always carry your camera even if you don't know if you will use it. Don't be afraid of a little water or damage to the camera. Equipment can be replaced but the memory of the adventure will last forever.
