Behind The Lens

Location

In kerry ireland, near molls gap, a place between kenmare and killarney.

Time

It was a beautiful afternoon in autumn, the grass was that lovely autumn colour and a still feeling everywhere.

Lighting

Lighting was some where between dull and bright on this autumn day around 4pm, it really gave a real sense of Ireland at that time of year.

Equipment

Sony a6000 camera standard 50mm lense.

Inspiration

The beauty here and to capture something we drive by every day and not see how stunning it is captured in a moment, beauty is everywhere, we can get so caught up in mind stuff we forget what is around us, how beautiful and natural our home is without driving by and racing to the next illusion.

Editing

I used Adobe camera raw to adjust highlights and shadows and lense correct , then photo shop for bringing the colours out to match what i saw that day

In my camera bag

Sony a6000, 50mm lense , zoom Nd filter , small tripod , I'm not big on gear , if the camera is good enough and one good lense for my medium that day I'm happy, . :)

Feedback

Focus on a strong subject first, for me that day the rocks were it , so they were my main focal point , the rest was secondary, after the bolder formation , ie the grass sky and mountain behind. A strong subject is key ,
