Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my back garden where I have both bird feeders and a squirrel feeder. Our house faces out over countryside, so I get quite a variety of different wildlife that come into the garden. This I would say maybe one of the first that I took of the grey squirrel s. I also quite liked it because of all of the autumnal colours.

Time

This was took in my garden in the morning. It looks a bit chaotic at times because of the different types of wildlife that come in. I have to say I enjoy the challenge of photographing squirrels. This was took about 10am, they are such characters in how inquisitive and how they can overcome any obstacles you challenge them with

Lighting

The lighting at this time of year is a bit flat in the sense of being grey and bland

Equipment

It was took with a Sigma 18-200mm f4-5.6

Inspiration

Because of the way the lighting with all the greys, also it was as if he was sitting staring at me

Editing

Just a small of contrast to help the clarity of the main subject (the squirrel)

In my camera bag

I always have my 50mm prime lens with me also a small amount of wipes for the lens and a soft brush also. I always carry my Sigma 18-200mm lens too.

Feedback

Try not to move too much and also make sure you have plenty food out for them
