Nice capture!!! I love owls! They're really hard to capture on camera so when you get a shot like this.... WOW!! I'm carving an owl in wood right now with 2 bluejays harassing him. I'll post it when I'm done. Awesome picture!!

I took this photograph of these three week old great horned owls at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy in Vittoria, Ontario.Time
I captured this photograph at approximately 2:00 p.m. in July.Lighting
Natural lighting was used.Equipment
I used my Canon camera which was hand held. I do not believe you have to have an expensive camera to capture a beautiful photograph. I feel strongly that cameras do not take the photograph but photographers do.Inspiration
I am always inspired and intrigued by the birds of prey. These baby owls just cuddled each other and they were so cute. The word raptor is derived from "rapere", a Latin word which means to seize or capture and that is exactly what I attempt to do with my camera! They will grow into a beautiful and graceful bird of prey and I find it mesmerizing to watch them.Editing
The only minor post-processing I did on this photograph was to cropped it slightly and then used Photoshop to make it a bit more sharper. Otherwise what you see is what came straight out of my camera. In my camera bag
In my camera bag I carry my Canon camera, extra batteries, various filters, lens filter cleaner and extra memory cards.Feedback
I strongly believe that every photograph tells a story, so make your photograph tell a story. Photography changes the way you see things. You notice colours, textures, people, nature … everything around you looks different when you start to see the world through a lens. Have fun and enjoy doing what you love doing, which is taking photographs. Don’t follow your dreams … chase them!
