Location
I took the photo from Irving Park at 2502 S. Hosmer Street, Tacoma, WA.Time
I took this on an overcast day in the early afternoon.Lighting
The lighting was great and I am still learning, but it was my chance to see it and shoot it.Equipment
Nikon D5200 camera body and a Tamron 150-600 telephoto.Inspiration
My son, who lives in the area, said "Mom, I need to show you something pretty cool!" He knows I shoot and I was not disappointed. There were better places to get the photo but unfortunately they were on the freeway. I am in awe of the American flag! It always will inspire me to photograph it.Editing
I believe I cropped this.In my camera bag
I almost always have my 150-600 telephoto on my camera body, but I also carry my macro, 18-55 lense and my smaller telephoto 55-300.Feedback
With something fluttering like a flag, choose the button on your camera that allows fast clicking so that you can choose the best still photo. Always find a place to pull over to shoot it (be safe) because that may be your only chance. Always carry your camera because when you don't, that is when you will be saying "doggone it!" Get lots of shots. Most of all, have fun shooting!
