Location
This photograph was taken on a ski holiday to Austria, just over 2000m (6561 feet) up above the town of Dorfgastein. I believe the peak in the photo was called Fulseck and is 2033m high.Time
This is my favourite shot from that holiday, it was the only blue ski day of the week. The phone registered the shot at 14:23, I usual only take my phone rather than my camera but I am thinking of investing in compact camera.Lighting
The sun not being very high in the sky in January cast some little shadows from the trees and the edge of the piste. Which I think helps to draw the viewers eye along the piste to the people and up the mountain. The blue sky i felt helps to make the picture.Equipment
As previously mentioned I shot this on my phone, which is an iphone 7 and no other equipment was used.Inspiration
We had just came off the chair lift and this view just hit me, the snow on the trees was so thick the branches were weighed down. In fact the didn't really look like real trees.Editing
The only post-processing was enhancing the colours to make the people stand out and see the orange clothing. In my camera bag
In my bag I have a Canon EOS 6D Mk2, lens are: EF 400MM F/5.6, EF 100MM F/2.8L MACRO IS USM, EF 24-105MM F/4L IS USM and EF 70-200MM F/4L USM. Although I don't use the EF 70-200mm lens very much nowadays. Oh and best not forget my phone camera.Feedback
Nowadays everybody has a mobile phone and most have reasonable cameras so you never have to go anywhere without a camera, its the boy scout motto, "be prepared".
