Location
I took this photo just across the state line of North Carolina and South Carolina The name is whitewater Fall's (located in North Carolina). It is the second highest on the east coast also this is only the top half of the waterfall.Time
I took this in photo early some where around 7 am.Lighting
I made sure that when I went it would be cloudy. I did not want the sunlight hitting the waterfall.Equipment
Honestly I don't remember the camera it was either my first camera the Canon rebel or the Canon 7d, The lens was a 24 to 70 L lens that was the first L lens on bought. My tripod was my manfrotto which I love.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this when I seen another friend that took some photos of waterfalls. I fell in love with slow shutter speed photography. I enjoy all types of photography but freezing motion or showing it is and will alway's be what I love the most.Editing
Yes, I usually go in and enhance each color in this case the reds, orange, greens, yellows it was all the color that made this waterfall look so amazing, plus I did get there at the best time of the year, and early in the morning. Also if you like you can go in the evening before the sunset, just make sure the light doesn't hit the water and wash out the whites of the water. In my camera bag
I went with Canon gear, I for a few years ask people what they liked most and this is what they said Canon. So Canon is always in the bag My favorite is the 5d mark 4, I also have the 7d mark 2, I have the 24 to 70 L lens,100 micro lens, the 70 to 200 lens, and the 16 to 35 lens. I do also have a couple of tripods both Manfrottos one for photography the other for video, I also have the mono pod for video as well.Feedback
If you can have a friend go with you that likes to shot the things you do. I have learned so much just by talking with the guys, I go with, sometimes they could answer my questions before I even ask. Learn from them, enjoy what you do, and have fun that is what it is all about.
