Location
This was taken on Worthing Beach in England UK. I had traveled down from London to meet my sister for lunch, I got an early train to give me time for some photography, I was photographing the pier when this gentleman appeared walking along the beach which gave added interest. I often do the big no-no of shooting into the sun, in this case it has created great reflections and an interest in itself. We then had a really great lunch!Time
About mid day in NovemberLighting
Shooting in to the sun is tricky but can give some great shots, but the late autumn sun is not so strong.Equipment
Pentax K-3 f11 @ 1/500 ISO 100Inspiration
I specifically wanted to photograph the pier and this composition came to hand as I was doing so, I have several other good shots from my hour's shootingEditing
Only to render in black and white as it was shot in RAW and to add more contrastIn my camera bag
Two Pentax K-3 and Canon powershot G7 18-55: 55-300 and 10-24 wide angle lenses plus filtersFeedback
Patience, staying in one place the shot will often come to you, I took several shots in order to achieve the man in mid stride. Be carefull shooting into the sun, the exposure here was metered on the beach, not the sun.
