Location
This photo was taken at our lake at the end of our street - we spend every night we can in the summer down there!Time
This was taken in the evening.Lighting
Shooting near the water always reflects a ton of light, so even though this was a very shady spot, there was a lot of available light to work with.Equipment
This was taken using a Canon 5D Mark 4, Canon17-40 mm 4L.Inspiration
I wanted to capture the feeling of summer and siblings in a quirky and fun way that I had never seen done before (but have lots since!). To me, this is what our summers look like, complete with more treats than usual...Editing
Very minimal post processing went into this. I shoot in RAW, so do most of my editing in Lightroom and Photoshop! In my camera bag
I always carry my Mark IV and a variety of lenses. I am not someone who has a "go-to" or favourite lens. I like variety in my shots and like to have a few different lenses on me for that. I usually carryFeedback
Many people assumer because of the perspective, thats its a drone shot, which isn't the case. I knew what vision I had in mind, and I wanted to shoot something different than the typical kids in the lake shot. I used the end of our fishing dock and had the kids come in close. I also had a willing husband who pushed them out into position, m and willing kids, who were brides with treats.
