I used a canon speedlight on the camera and the light from the sparklers. from left of the couple you can see a little light from the porch but there wasn't much else.Equipment

wedding exits are fun and I usually at some point ask the couple to stop and kiss. Trying to get bokeah or flair around the couple. Hopefully if you have enough guests and they do it right you'll achieve a similar vision. In this case I loved how she grabbed him for the kiss. Very romanticEditing

It is all about timing, space, and one thing you can't control the guest. Make sure the batteries in your flash are fully charged before the exit. You'll need a fast recycle time and a lot of power depending on how dark it is. I usually move with the couple walking backwards because I like my 50 open wide. But there are some safety risk to this. If you think you may get hit with a sparkler don't. In this case the crowd was well behaved and there was enough space to make sure I didn't bump into a sparkler. If not I would have used my 70-200 2.8L IS and stood at the end of the line.
