Location
I took this Picture while on a trip to Florida in October 2015. We were staying in Jacksonville and visited the Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve. There is a Boardwalk not far from the Parking lot and that´s where I took this shot. This Osprey was hunting and perched for a minute or two one this dead tree to dry off a little. Thats when I took as many shots until he left again to hunt.Time
I took this Picture around 12:00 noon which isn´t the best time of day but sometimes you can´t be choosey.Lighting
Noon and the lighting was very hard.Equipment
The Shot was taken with a Canon 6D and a EF600mm f/4L IS USM using a Sirui Monopod. I used the Programm AE mode, 1/500 sec., f5.6, iso 100.Inspiration
I´m just a Wildlife fanatic and will shoot anytime and anywhere especially when I´m Travelleling.Editing
I Croped it from a Horizontal to vertical shotIn my camera bag
At home usually carry the 600mm, camera and Tripod When I´m Travelling I have way too much with me. Just in case..Feedback
Good light and fast Shutter speed are essential. My 1/500sec was actually too slow when he took off. Also a Tripod would have been better.
