I'm so glad that this photo is well liked I was happy with it being my first stab at Macro. This photo was taken at home in the kitchen. I just picked up my new Macro lens and was pretty excited when I found this snail. I was amazed at how fast a snail is when you're trying to take it's picture.Time
It was taken in the evening in the kitchen.I had a leaf sitting on top of a glass and just let the snail wander while I tried to get a clean shot.Lighting
The lighting is coming from Table Top Lights I raised it up on the glass to get more light. I also had the kitchen light on (florescent)Equipment
I used a Nikon D810 with a Macro 200mm. Being my first try at macro photography my expectations weren't very high I was happy happy happy when I opened this photo.Inspiration
Seeing other Photographers Macro shots inspired me. I've wanted to try it for a long time and finally added a couple Macro lenses to my inventory.Editing
Not much in post-processing. I did use the burn tool on the shell. In my camera bag
I carry my Nikon D810 with a Tamron 150 to 600mm lens. I favor this lens for shooting birds it's such a sharp picture. I also carry a Nikon D800 with a Nikon 70 to 200mm lens mounted this is one of my favorite lenses it never disappoints I like to use it to shoot flowers and other inanimate objects.I also carry a Nikon 14-24mm.Feedback
I'm self taught so I have way more to learn then I could ever teach. I do take shots from more than one angle so that I can catch the light on different angles then I pick the one I like best..... Holding on to the others because I still like them too :)
