This photo was taken in a house of a friend of mine, the light entering the window was great and this cat was so pretty standing there staring at the street, so I had to shoot it.Time
This was taken in a summer afternoon almost at sunset which is one of the times I love to shoot, the light is amazing at sunset. This was taken in July 25, 2004... wow almost 14 years now, how time flies.Lighting
I wanted the picture to show the details of this beautiful cat and to show how was the light in this end of afternoon summer so the only light used was the one coming in from the window, the natural light of the sun.Equipment
This was shot with a small point & shoot camera, a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P100, because it was the only one that I had at that time, I wasn't prepared to go shooting, I was just visiting a friend but luckily I brought my little camera with me.Inspiration
The beauty of this cat inspired to take this photo, I thought that more people deserve to see this beauty.Editing
I just did small corrections, adjusted levels, contrast, brightness and saturation. In my camera bag
My bag now consists of: • Canon EOS 30D • Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM • Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM • Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM • MTL 9251B Giottos TripodFeedback
Cats are amazing creatures, and I love to do portraits of them, but some are so hard to shoot because they won't be still, this one had to be hold so that I could shoot it, so find a beautiful cat that likes to pose for you and use the light of sunset or sunrise and that will be a lot easier.
