Location
This photo was taken in Madrid, Latin Quarter. La Latina is Madrid's quintessential neighbourhood for beer on tap, tapas, mojitos and terraces.Time
It was one of the beautiful afternoons when many people take a brunch break at the great restaurants of La Latina.Lighting
I didn’t use a flashlight. The natural light at the afternoon time of day was enough for this kind of shot.Equipment
It was captured by a full-frame camera Canon EOS 6D with 24-105 f/4L Lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
The man that is captured in this image took my attention. He had his lunch alone in a quiet atmosphere and he was thinking about something and enjoying his meal. The old wooden wall was a beautiful frame and completed the whole picture. It was a candid street shot, it wasn’t staged or composed.Editing
In this particular case I had to correct colors, light, brightness and saturation in Photoshop. I didn’t change any details or composition or framing. In my camera bag
I use my full-frame camera Canon EOS 6D with 24-105 and 18-135 Lens. I also use a polarizer and ND filter at the same time.Feedback
Many people like to capture old windows and doors. I am always looking for something special - not just a door but a door with a mood, with the interesting details that can tell a story. I usually take at least 5 shots at the same scene with different perspectives. Not every shot is perfect but when you have more shots of the same scene, so there’s a chance to choose the right one.
