Location
This was taken at the Maroon Belles outside Aspen, Colorado in the Fall of 2015.Time
It was taken in late Morning.Lighting
I wanted a natural look so I tried just using a simple external flash. There was no big set up or anything fancy. I didn't even set up a tripod cause I was hiking all over the area and I was shooting as I was hiking.Equipment
I was using actually using a new camera and I was trying out the stock lenses that came it. The camera was a Nikon 5200.Inspiration
The Maroon Belles really don't need any special inspiration. They are absolutely breathtaking in their natural beauty.Editing
I just did some basic editing like cropping, cause there were people everywhere and there was a guy in the very left of the pic I had to cut out.In my camera bag
When i go hiking, I have to cut back cause of weight, but I do usually have 2 different lenses, 2 camera bodies and cleaning supplies.Feedback
The Maroon Belles are the most photographed spot in Colorado and can get crowded quick. Go early or off season. Don't forget the $10 to get into the area.
