Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the San Francisco zoo

Time

It was like 10:00 am

Lighting

Yes!! The bird was in the exotic aviary and he was the only bird near the sunny area. But he was going in and out. It took 1 hours for the birds to move at the right spot and with the good angle. i did not want to miss the opportunity, so i had my lens pointing at him and everybody passing by where asking me why him, photograph the one beside you....lol

Equipment

Canon 7D and a Canon 500mm f4 lens and a good chair!

Inspiration

The sun going trough the crown,it was beautiful !

Editing

Yes , i had to remove somme lighter spot behind the bird and i had some tonal contrast.

In my camera bag

In my bag, i carry 2 cameras bodys 7D, 7D markII, 500mm lens, 100-400 mm lens 24-70 lens, Better beamer and a flash, extra batteries and memory card. A cleaner kit, first aid kit and a multipurpose knife.

Feedback

Arrive early at the zoo, they feed the animals early and they are active when they eat. Stay with your subject, ask the zoo keeper for the routine of your subject, take a lot of pictures and have fun!
