I love this shot; it captured the mood of the moment. I also like the way you got the reflection of the sun in the river as well as the focus on the boat. Nice shot.

I think this is my favorite of yours! Love this, with the mist rising off the lake or river and the low sun.

Truly magnificent capture. Everything. Love how the point of canoe is slightly off center to the right with the light being central. It draws the eye back to left and you settle into the boat. I am sitting right there. Perfect.

I like the sepia tone, helps emphasize the misty morning and set a quiet mood.

Stunning capture and format! Beautiful light, POV, and DOF. The canoe really adds to the shot and I love the reflections on the water. The mist really adds to the scene as well and brings the background to life. Draws the eyes to the background, like this is where the canoe is headed.

It's been about a year since I have uploaded this image and there are things I have changed and re edited to make it look better.
First I would open up the shadows a bit more and give the overall exposure a slight boost. There is also a dark spot in the water that I have fixed. Overall I love this image, but this is an older edit.. check out my instagram @nathanaelasaro for my current work and a link to website!

This photo is all natural light.Equipment
I used my D7000 with an 18-105mm zoom lens. Hand held with no tripod.Inspiration
The mist coming off the water and the orange glow of the sun being diffused by the clouds. The stillness of the water also helped.Editing
Minimal post processing. I shoot Raw so just vibrance, sharpening, contrast, exposure correction, etc. I try to keep my images as close to what I saw as I can. No collages in photoshop. In my camera bag
Tripod, polarizer, lens wipes, remote, Nikon D7000 with 18-105mm, water, and snacks.Feedback
