This photo was taken on the road next to the banks of the Danube river in Austria near the town of Engelhartszell.Time
It was early morning, my husband and I had just crossed the Atlantic from Virginia to Munich, had rented a car and started driving through the border town Passau into Austria in complete fog, which is typical for early morning on the Danube river.Lighting
There was total fog to begin with, and around 8am portions of it started to lift, so the light changes were very intriguing. We were in a bit of a hurry to arrive at our destination, so, I just took many pictures from the passenger seat of the moving car.Equipment
Honestly, I don't remember which camera I owned at that time.Inspiration
The rapidly changing lighting, the constant fog with snatches of barely clearing skies were just magical. Since there was almost no traffic, it was a quiet ride and the mood was set. Dead tired from the flight, we just rolled along, enjoying the emerging scenery.Editing
No postprocessing was done.In my camera bag
Cameras I have used over the years: Minolta, Nikon, Canon Power Shot, but I have turned them over to my children and grandchildren. Now I am using my cell phone, a Samsung Galaxy 8a and before too long I will purchase another camera, but have not done extensive research on what brand I would want to buy.Feedback
Point and shoot, don't waste the moment. If you take enough pictures of subjects, objects, landscapes, you will find among them at least one that stands out and is pleasing to the eye and worth keeping.
