This dragonfly flew into my kitchen and was just sitting and waiting for me to capture beautiful photos. I am a self taught and passionate user of a wonderful tool to truly capture moments in time.Time
In the early afternoon with the light coming in through the window. I had to open the window to be in the right position to take the photos - it was a truly windy day and had to balance the camera without it being buffeted, so lots of giggles were had.Lighting
Had to capture the moment without thinking of anything else. Just keeping the camera still was my biggest challenge so was really happy with my capture of Wringing Hands.Equipment
I captured this shot with my first Canon 700D with Macro EF-S 60mm lens. My tripod was my breath!Inspiration
Mother Nature has so much to offer us and if we really take time to become aware of being in the moment, she provides us with gifts. This was my gift for the day and this Dragonfly just posed so beautifully for about 10min, then continued on her journey.Editing
No post editing - I try and keep the natural essence of my photos as much as possible. In my camera bag
I have my 2 Canons 7D EOS with a Tamron 18-400mm lens and my Canon 700D with the macro lens. Very seldom do I use a tripod as it is just awkward and then when I finish setting up, the moment has passed. Important also is my lens cleaners and even more important are spare batteries. Keeping it simple.Feedback
Just be in the moment and become aware of the little things we are gifted with.
