Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while driving down Hwy 101, through Florence, Oregon.

Time

Pulled off the road, early afternoon. To get a quick leg stretch in. As I looked over the cliff, I was pleasantly surprised.

Lighting

It was a bright sunny day. No added light was used, as the subject was too far away.

Equipment

I quickly grabbed my Canon 5D Mark IV, and a Tamron G2 600mm lens.

Inspiration

The whole drive down 101 was full of inspirational photo opportunities. This shot was more serendipitous...

Editing

I did minimal post processing. Added some contrast, and increased the vibrancy of the water, subtly...

In my camera bag

My 5D Mark IV, and a variety of lenses.

Feedback

My advice if you want to capture something similar would be to have a long lens.
