Location
This was made during our to Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. Also known as the land of roar, trumpets and song as we get to see the tigers and elephants in large gatherings along with the beautiful birds .Time
This was taken during our afternoon safari. It was around 5.30 or 6 in the evening.Lighting
This was made around 5.30 or 6 in the evening. Th Sun was setting behind us and had just gone behind the hillock which made the light just right to have the right shutter speed to get the correct exposure.Equipment
I used Canon 5d mark 3 along with Canon 500 is2 . This was made hand held.Inspiration
The subadult was crossing the track and the place where it was crossing was just right to have the complete depth of track in the image. I quickly changed and composed the image vertically which helped me to get the complete feel of the elephant crossing.Editing
A very minimal processing of shadows and highlights along with conversion of raw to jpeg and resizing of the image was done.In my camera bag
I carry my Canon 5D mark 3 along with Canon 500 f/4 is 2. For landscape and habitat shots I use my first camera Canon 600D coupled with 24-105 f4 Lens. I have also included Go Pro hero 7 in my kit which gives me the flexibility to capture with different perspectives.Feedback
Patience and subject knowledge is the key, we were able to anticipate the movement of the subadult and gave space for it to cross.
