Location
Whilst out on a day adventure with my Balinese friend in the Ubud area of Bali. I saw this lady sitting by the roadside outside her home and asked permission to take her photo which she kindly gave.Time
Mid afternoon with an overcast sky but good lightingLighting
Nothing in particular, it as an overcast day but I was very lucky with the natural light.Equipment
A Canon 350D camera with a 70-300 lens. No flash or tripod was used.Inspiration
She was an unusual character and I knew that I would regret it if I let the moment pass and not ask to take her photograph. Spur of the moment decision as I had not captured any decent portrait shots during the day.Editing
Auto balance and auto sharpen in ACDC is the only post processing that was done to the photo. In my camera bag
Canon 70D and Canon 80D camera bodies. Canon 70-300 L IS USM lens and Canon 15-85 IS USM lens, Canon EF100mm F2.8 Macro IS USM lens . Circular Polarising and PROND64 filters.Feedback
Always be on the lookout for a photo opportunity and if photographing a person ask permission to take the photo and don't just thrust a lens in the subjects face.
