This shot was taken in my studio in Rijswijk, The Netherlands.Time
It was in the evening, but as we used studio flashes, the time does not really matter.Lighting
I used two Godox QT600, which have a short flash duration and are excellent for freezing the fast moving hair without need for highspeed-sync. The flashes were gelled and placed right and left behind the model.Equipment
Two Godox QT600, gels, black paper background, Nikon D800 with 85mm, radiotrigger.Inspiration
I love how hair catches light and emphasises movement. My model Anyya (model mayhem # 4279434) had wonderful long hair.Editing
Some minor adjustments like exposure, contrast, etc.In my camera bag
What I take to a shoot depends a lot on circumstances. For a shoot like this, it would be a Nikon D800, a Nikon 85 mm, Tamron 24-70 mm, radiotriggers, remote triggers, batteries, model releases.Feedback
Be nice to your model, it's harder than it looks. Pre-focus. Have fun.
